Are Services covered by OHIP or Insurance?
Services are not covered by OHIP.
Only Medical doctors or *Psychiatrists are covered by OHIP. If you do not have insurance coverage or only partial coverage, the CRA recognizes Registered Psychotherapist fees as eligible for tax credit on your personal income taxes. *Psychotherapy services with Janice are fully or partially covered by most insurance companies. *Please check with your insurance provider to see what kind of coverage you have. |
How long is a session?
Normally a session is one hour.

What happens in a therapy session?
Therapy sessions include an initial intake history and then a discussion of a treatment plan followed by a series of sessions.
These sessions include practical solutions and tools to help you cope with the current situation that is causing distress as well as examining the underlying reasons and source of the distress. |
